||The British Nepalese Expedition, 1974 was partially funded by the Mount Everest Foundation. The summit bid was unsuccessful due to the early onset of the monsoon. The route chosen was via Nampa South (Bobaye on local maps).
The summit was reached a few years later by Tom Hurley and partner.
