||London-born Scot Carrington was a leading rock climber and mountaineer in the 60s and early 70s when he excelled on rock and was a regular on the expedition circuit of the day as well as an aficionado of hard European Alpine climbs. Carrington’s first name is well known today as the logo on some of the best-selling down jackets and sleeping bags. As proprietor of Rab Down Products he produced some of the most sought-after kit in the mountaineering equipment business.
