The end result being a comprehensive and tangible tour through Scottish mountaineering from the early 1900's to the present day. Most of the collection relates to Ben Nevis but also covers the wider Scottish, and English, scene |

A significant collection of mountain memorabilia in Scotland, comprising in excess of two thousand items of mountaineering, climbing, camping, skiing and mountain rescue items; myriad of associated books, photographs and papers. For example, ice axes (from Victorian era to present day - 60+); Boots (80 pairs); Camping stoves (Optimus, Primus, Petrol, Parrafin & meths - 25); Skis (20 sets); Snow shoes (5 pairs); Navigation items (maps, compasses etc - dozens); rucksacks (20); clothing items (dozens); mountain rescue stretchers (10); Cameras & projectors (10); photo items (1000's); Books & magazines (100's) |
