Biography:
 Julie Summers is the author of eight books. She writes about the effect of people of extreme situations, whether in the mountains or as a result of war. A regular contributor, film judge and interviewer at the KMFF and other festivals, she also lectures on the short life but action packed life of her great uncle, Sandy Irvine, General Bruce’s ‘Experiment’ on the 1924 Mount Everest expedition. She is the current Vice Chair of MHT and is a keen supporter of exhibitions of mountain heritage material. She also believes strongly in the value of collecting oral history for the archive.
