Tonight, Alan Hinkes, the first Briton to summit all fourteen 8000m peaks will deliver a lecture about the last climb to complete the set ”Kangchenjunga Finale and the 8000m Peaks”. The lecture is the fourth sponsored by the Himalayan Trust UK and will include a tribute to George Band, OBE who completed the first ascent of Kangchenjunga with Joe Brown in 1955.
