Commercial success for jacket inspired by Mallory clothing

As part of it’s on-going development, the Mountain Heritage Trust is pleased to announce it has secured almost £50,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project is designed to examine the Trust's current position and consider its role for the future, including how it can raise awareness of this nationally important collection and make it accessible to a wider range of people.

Plans are underway to develop Dan Smith’s exceedingly wearable and fully functional “Everywhere” Jacket for the commercial market. The design, which draws inspiration from the jacket George Mallory wore on the 1924 Mount Everest expedition, is being developed under the Northborn Ltd brand.  It’s appeal is shown in the recent articlewhich appeared in the September issue of Trail.
