As part of it’s on-going development, the Mountain Heritage Trust is pleased to announce it has secured almost £50,000 from the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The project is designed to examine the Trust's current position and consider its role for the future, including how it can raise awareness of this nationally important collection and make it accessible to a wider range of people.
Below are few photos taken at our latest fundraising event in London. The event took place at Plaisterer’s Hall and included a lecture by Sir Chris Bonington and Doug Scott CBE followed by a dinner then auction and raffle. The evening was run in conjunction with Himalayan Trust UK and we would like to thank them for all their help on the evening and in the run up. MHT would also like to thank Chris and Doug for hosting such a fantastic event and fascinating us with their stories and photographs from the fist ascent of the SW face of Mt Everest in 1975.
